Ollantaytambo

The Green House Hotel is close to the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. You can easily travel to Ollantaytambo by bus (50 minutes) or by taxi (30 minutes).

Ollantaytambo is called Live Incan Village and one of the most spectacular archeological remains of Peru for its multiplicity of archeological and the singularity of each one of them, they still haven’t come to a conclusion in the techniques that were used for the construction of the enormous walls made out of rock. Each rock is elaborated in an independent form in relation to all the other rocks, angles and different volumes of incan platforms and archeological remains.

Ollantaytambo is the only inca town still inhabited in Peru that has survived pretty much as the incas laid it out hundreds of years ago, the houses still serving as homes which live the descendants of that great culture.

Machu Picchu

You can easily organize your experience to Machu Picchu by train from The Green House. The train station is only 30 minutes from our hotel.
